ISAM 2021 Congress : Addictions: an international problem needing global solutions

The International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) welcomes you to the ISAM 2021 Congress to be held between the 19th and 21st November 2021. This global congress will provide the opportunity to highlight new research findings, innovative practices, sociopolitical ideas and treatment approaches to addiction medicine with the aim to provide the necessary competencies and skills for individuals to help deliver a better service to the substance and other users with addiction related issues.

Addiction Medicine invites all aspects of medicine and health care to participate in this global congress. The overarching theme for the scientific elements of this virtual global congress will focus on exploring further global solutions to international problems in the field of addiction medicine. The focused domains include: Drug, Alcohol and Non-Pharmacological Addiction-Related Policies, Inequalities and Vulnerabilities, Addiction Mechanisms, Multiple Morbidities, Recovery/Harm Reduction Interface and Care Principles, Novel Treatments and other Interventions, and finally Digitilisation.

We invite you to be part of this foremost of global congresses on addictions.  We welcome you to contribute an abstract for an oral presentation and/or to organize a symposium with your international colleagues.  We especially welcome abstracts that focus on our above congress themes that are relevant to the international issues in addiction medicine. We also encourage abstracts from trainees from all health care disciplines.
